New Member Intro...CastIronGuy

Hi.
I would like to introduce myself.
I live in WNC and collect cast iron cookware, axes and hatchets, and a few knives.
I have a lot of questions and a few knives to sell.
I have a Remington Bullet R-1178.
Let`s talk.

Welcome, Cast Iron Guy from just a little South of you in SC.

I used to work in a foundry so I have the cast iron bug myself. I still use my cast iron frying pans and dutch oven, but I primarily collect old foundry giveaway items that were once common advertisements: statues, ashtrays, paperweights, etc.

Interesting stuff, especially as there are fewer and fewer foundries in the U.S. anymore.

Welcome to AAPK! I would love to see a picture of your Bullet knife. Would it happen to be a R1173 instead of R1178?

Welcome! We like pictures, especially of knives. We welcome questions, don't be bashful. Lots of very knowledgeable folks here and willing to help.
