Replace Case handles

Post by rea1eye »

How much would it cost ( ball park figure) to replace the handles on this knife?

( nothing exotic; something like yellow Delrin, red bone, amber bone

Don't have the knife yet. Assume backspring and blades OK for it's age

That knife is a Tested - 1940's knife. I can't tell if it is yellow or white, but wouldn't you want to keep it as close to original as possible? Another thing to consider is to watch ebay until one like it comes along with bad blades and just switch blades out. That way you stay 100% Case. I think that is a 20 peanut pattern and not a terribly expensive knife. You might be able to pick up a frame with good handles for less than $20. Very easy to swap the blades out.
