I sure hope you and your son can make the FIRST knife show together.

100 miles is a long way but my first knife show was 580 miles to get to.
I went alone and came back with many super good looking girls.
A trip that gave me much pleasure and still does.

SB, next time you send Bryan backards in his time machine
see if he has time to pick up a car for me. Not too greedy,
a 65 Falcon sprint or Chevy II SS hardtop w/ small V8, 4spd, PB&S
be good enough. Think I can round up $2600 by time he gets back :D

I put this one in the Case/Bose string, but just had to show it here as well.

My first T. Bose, it's called a "backpocket" knife. It's larger than it appears with an overall length of 8 inches, the blade is 3 5/8". Awesome stag with stainless throughout.................

Looking good Gary. Those be ORIGINAL looking. I have a set of 4 that I may just put pearl on since they AREN'T original looking. I think I will do that, if the pearl I have fits, if not well, I'll just have to try something else. I may just try California Jade, since as far as I know, it's NEVER been done. (Botryoidal Nephrite) yeah, like I know what that one is. I may stick with the coprolite also. (oh that's Dino Dung) Knew that one. I will sell them but I will also make mention of what they are and are not.

Here's a couple o pictures of stag handled knives on the smaller side. The top knife is a Wm.Congreave with bird's eye rivets, one piece liner and bolster, and a small piece of bone that acts as a blade stop.Probably made around 1850.The next one is an Empire Winsted Ct. that is in fantastic shape.the picture makes it look like the master blade is damaged;it isn't.The bottom knife is an unmarked pruner in a size I've never seen before. The background squares are 1".

The second picture os of a miniature fighter with stag scales and sheath made by Jim Turecek of Derby Ct. many years ago. It is a bolo tie with ends made of stag antler tips.

Northwoods Stag Gunstocks

Post by Forensic Jim »

I think the stag on these Northwoods Gunstocks is really some of the nicest gnarly stag with great carmel and brown colors I've seen.
