What is it
I found a person advertising for information on this knife , and it's value . For the right price I'd like to have it in my collection . Not sure where but the person says on the knife it says T.L.L.NEW YORK Knife , and on a blade it says Kwick .
I don't want to lowball the person ,but I also don't want to give a lot more than it's worth .

Re: What is it
I'm not nautically inclined, but I've seen similar knives with all kinds of ship's names, including the Queen Mary.
Maybe the ship affects the desirability of the knife.
I have no idea what "T.L.L." stands for, but the ship's name was the "New York".
It doesn't look like a luxury cruise ship.
I've read that these knives were sold on-board to passengers.
I don't think they have a lot of value.

Re: What is it
Are you sure the knife tang stamp isn't Kwik Kut. If it is the knife was made by Camillus and wasn't an expensive knife when new. One way or the other I doubt the knife would be worth any more than $20 or $25 unless, like Charlie said, the ship has some significance. I don't collect these so if it were $20 in a shop I probably would leave it for someone who does. Just my opinion and I've been wrong before. ___Dave

Re: What is it
I agree with Charlie, it is a nice knife but of very low value. If you look on ebay Pen knives with an image of a majestic ship they are quite common. Often made in Germany (mostly pre WW II) and often like yours show little to no signs of use.
There are not many who collect these so supply exceeds demand so price is low.
It's a good one to sharpen up the blades and carry in your pocket. They are slim and light weight but have good steel and well ground blades.

Re: What is it
Thanks for the replies. I kinda figured it was probably sold on the ship as more of a souvenir than a user.If I can get it for $20 I'll do it if the old photo of the same ship goes with it.

T.L.L. IS TRANSATLANTIC LUXURY LINERS I THINK
NEW YORK IS FOR THE PORT, BUT COULD BE THE SHIP

Re: What is it
I recently sold this similar knife for $25 in near mint condition with a good manufacture name, Bruckman.
I think knives of this type are cool.
