Alright, I'm going to start digging as soon as the ground thaws out. Today edgy46 got in on the act and checked two of my boxes with one bomb.

I've wanted a Wabash Cutlery (the Indiana connection ya know) since I first discovered they existed AND I've looked at Tuxedos off and on for several years now. Bill made both of those happen today. Thank you many times over kind sir. I am charmed beyond words by this little gal. What a beauty.

See what happens.....you are suddenly informed of one of the "bombing" commandments, that I'm sure is written in the by-laws somewhere, ::shrug:: but Brian (Ivoryman) decided to enforce Bombing Commandment 101 at his discretion.....

In today's mail I found the hand written commandment and this super cool, Mac Daddy, bad to the antler bone ferro rod flint striker, sheath and whistle....... ::woot::

Dude, I am beside myself.....I will be using it this weekend!

Thanks much.....very much!! ::not_worthy:: ::not_worthy::

I've been Bombed!!

I bought a couple of knives from TripleF and he bombed with this fine old Colonial Ranger large stockman.

Funny thing is I have it's twin that I dived to the bottom of the deep end of a swimming pool to retrieve about 30 years ago (would not be able to hold my breath that long these days). It is so rusted up I could not get all the blades open.

Now Thanks to TripleF I have til next POS Rountable to get the rust bucket ready for a new owner
::tu:: ::ds::

Thanks Scott, I truly appeciate the bomb!!

Here's a picture of the two knives. I think you can tell which is the bomb vs the pile of rust ::tu::

Dude, Ivoryman has bombed me so many times I have lost count...he is the ultimate "Mad Bomber" (mad/crazy, not mad/angry...although he might be that too!)

Still can't stop getting simultaneous chills and warm fuzzys from these two bombs (among many others) he's dropped on me:

I got bombed last week by Mike, (XX Case XX). He caught me completely off guard.
He had posted some knives he got and I asked about a Barlow in the pile.
Well, last week the Barlow showed up in my mail box along with several buddies.
bomb 2-16.jpg
There is really no junk in the bunch (unless you count the Chinese SAK wannabee), all the knives are functional! ::nod::
I will keep some for parts and modification and the rest I will give out to kids at the OKCA show.
My wife & I always have fun giving away knives to kids at the show (with their parents permission of course).

Thanks Mike!!! ::tu:: ::tu::

It's always refreshing to read this thread! I'm not sure if what I'm about to post fits the category of a bomb, but is was totally unexpected. It didn't come in the mail and I didn't trade for it, so maybe it fits here ::shrug:: .

We had been to Panama City yesterday and returned home about 3:30, time for a nap before Wednesday evening church service. Well the house phone rings, I recognize the number. My friend on the other end is stuck in the woods, bogged down somewhere south of us, back towards Panama City. Told him I'd get my "elephant rope" and head out his way. He had tried to make a turn on a 2 trail road in a very sandy spot and had just bogged it down in the worst place. The back of his 2 wheel drive SUV was against a bank and I hated to think about trying to drag it side ways using his receiver hitch. Finally figured out a place on under the front suspension to loop the big nylon rope and proceded to pull him up the bank where he could then back up and get a running start over the area he was bogged in. It all worked out, we were back to the house by 5:00. Headed for church, family night supper and my friend came over to me and said, "I'm not going to insult you by offering to pay you, but I want you to have this." He handed me a Case box, I could tell it was a Trapper, 6254 but had no clue what kind of handles it had. To my surprise and delight it is one that will be hard to lose, it's bright orange or some such. It also has the XX cartridge shield. Needles to say, I appreciated his "bomb", totally unexpected!

Scott, very nice sheath - most dressed up Old Hickory I've seen!

Ol' 313Mike bringin' the STORM!!!

He offered a Kershaw Storm II for sale in the advertising section. When he mentioned it made some pretty knice wood shavings, I became interested. His price was reasonable I thought, so I shot him a PM and said I'll take 'er!!

PM reply came back: You're money's no good with me! ::paranoid:: :shock:

I'm truly honored and thankful Mike! I truly am!!

I'll carry her with me on the mission today!!

And Jerry, don't listen to a thing my wife says about me, she has spent far too many years in close company with me to be taken seriously! ::woot::

Speaking of shirt like that, I bought a GEC #48 Improved Trapper Beaver Tail from my main man, Big Monk and he sent a PM telling me there would be a little surprise bonus in with the knife. There was, only it was a BIG surprise in with it (4½" closed). He sent along, this Franklin Mint, baseball bat shaped, Babe Ruth Commemorative single blade. Not something I would have bought with my own money but as a gift, I'll gladly take it and am very happy about receiving it. It's neater than Cougar poop. I love it. Now I have to figure out where to display it. Thanks Monkey Man. You nailed it with this one.

Monk, any one in that series would have done but it's super to have the great Babe Ruth. (Even if he did play for the Yankees) I put it someplace where I can look at it all the time.

Well I just got home from a 12 day road trip and my mail basket was over flowing. As I went through my packages I found this little jewel and realized I had been bombed by Scott and a Mystery Man. First I would like to say thanks to both of you. Big hearts every where you look around here. The way this transpired Scott had posted a picture of some ad knives he had just gotten in Mail Call. I asked Scott if he ever checked on any of these companies that gave out the knives to see if they were still around because I thought I recognized the name on the one from Atlanta, Ga. He said no and here we are. I am a little bit of a history buff and since I have lived in Metro Atlanta all of my life I thought I would do a little checking and found that it wasn't the company that I originally thought but one that was started by the grand father of the current CEO and President of Selig Real Estate Developers. If anyone is interested in history I have included a link where you can read about the company that supplied these knives to its customers. http://www.artery.org/Selig-PioneerNeon.htm
