Ever Seen a Western 991 'Hone with Sheath'
Anybody familiar with this one. I have looked high and low but can't generate any info. This came with a group of Western knives from 1978-1979.
It is a pair of hones with a leather drape or cover that would be used to strope the blade after sharpening. Comes in a nice, heavy leather belt sheath.
Any pricing ideas?

Now I've seen two of those. I have one but couldn't remember where I put it. Yours is a little cleaner than mine, but until now I had never seen another, and I've been actively collecting Westerns for 25 years. I did locate mine after an office search. Unfortunately I can't remember what I paid for mine. I think it was in the $25 to $30 range but I really can't remember for sure. Is that box it's leaning against, the box it came in. That would up it's value considerably. If you have "Knife Makers Who went West", it shows that on page 184 and again on page 189, for the years 1968 and 1978.___Dave

It's cool as all get out!

That is the original box. There were 2 of these in a collection I recently acquired. Both mint in the box.
Thanks very much for the input.
