My new Moore Makers

Post by birdhunter »

Hi everybody, I recently purchased two Moore Maker knives. The first one is a buffallo horn handled stockman, which I believe is made by Camillus. The second one is a spine back whittler with jigged bone handles, made by Queen. Both are good knives, but the one made by Queen seems to be better quality. The fit of the handles are much better and the blades have a stronger snap. I would like to know if anyone else has noticed this. Not a complaint, just an observation.

I have not noticed a difference in the quality of the snap but I would have to say that the handles are a much better fit on the bone Moore Makers I own. I can tell you that it seems that the delrin handles come sharper from the factory than the bone handles...

Judging from the blood test I got while setting up to take a photo.. :?

Maybe others from the forum can add to this discussion...
