Re: What is Your Latest Old Schrade?
This bartender's knife is the oldest Schrade I have. The tang stamp is
G.SCHRADE
KNIFECO.INC.
BPORTCTUSA
STAINLESS
The picture looks to me like a bunch of Colonials drinking and toasting. I figure they were getting drunk, cussing the British and their taxes, and thinking it might be good fun to dress up like indians and throw a boat load of tea in the harbor.
3" closed The blade is about 1/4" short and the opener will still pop a cap. The scene is the same on the pile side but upside down. .

Re: What is Your Latest Old Schrade?
I just got this Schrade Cut Co from Steve Pfeiffer.
I don't think it has been sharpened.
The handles is cracking but doesn't show the damage typical of celluloid.
I can't wait to get some peach-seed bone on this one!

Welcome aboard Randy.
As you probably know Schrade Cut Co rarely put a model number on their knives.
You have to look them up and try and find a catalog listing that matches your knife.
I think it is a 2264AC (asst celluloid) though that knife shows a swedge notch not present on mine.
Here is the Schrade Catalog link to collectors-of-Schrade:

My Schrade 863/Ulster 63 Mystery knife came today. I'm very pleased with it, especially for the price. No tang markings at all.

Re: What is Your Latest Old Schrade?
It is dogg. For a 40-50 year old knife, it's great. It has amazing snap and you can see the condition in the pictures. Pristine? No. Factory? No. Carried, used and sharpened but well taken care of with snap you can hear in the next room. I'm very pleased with it.

Absolutely Joe. I think if you look in the dictionary for HOK, you'll see a picture of this knife.FRJ wrote:Great looking knife, Jerry.

I agree! I'm a huge fan of Schrade and Western big whittlers (they're REAL similar). Yours is a Beeeuty!
I'm another fan of saber ground clips.
