Here are the new Micartas...

The Golden Rod is really beautiful!

I like the Black Just as well

In light of all the recent discussion about GEC--I thought it would be good to post something really positive. These are top notch. GEC is a great company.

That Goldenrod is just plain drop dead gorgeous. Now that I see that color on that frame, I would love to see a wormgroove in Goldenrod.

very nice, all these GECs are making me want to get one. the goldenrod looks just like the Schrade old timer sawcut delrin after it's smoothed out and polished, I'll take a pic later and you can see. What type of micarta are they supposed to be, paper?

For whatever reason GE didn't send me any of the black ones, instead they sent what they call Canvas. I was going to post a picture of it, but for some reason AAPK won't let me upload pictures. I have tried here and in my AAPK store, and I tried using two differant computers at differant locations.

I have seen these knives elsewhere advertized as Acrylic, which is different from Micarta, If they are smooth rather vinyl in look they are Acrylic, with Micarta you should be able to see the fibers running through the material. That in course does not take away from the good looking knives that they are. If they really are Micarta them I'm out buy.

GEC says they are micarta. I don't have one right here, but they are very smooth--the smoothest I have seen.

Well, I still can't upload pictures, so for those of you who have seen the #73 Canvas, what do you think of it? It would be my least favorite.

My bad on the picture upload problems. I was playing with the server again and messed up some stuff

The Canvas (at least mine) are the first factory error I have seen; etched with "EC".
