Felt like having two around today and one of them is a whittler. 1996 Winchester Whittler and 2014 Northfield Talon.

Ivoryman - beautiful Winchester and Northfield. I like wharncliffe blades: the swedge on that Northfield really makes it special.

Lyle - very nice Case!

Here is an old Valley Forge. Worn out blades, celluloid handles, but it is still tight and has good walk and talk. If the blades on that knife were in just a bit better condition it would have some pocket time.

Mel, lots of good use left in those experienced blades and that's the kind I like to carry. Wouldn't want it to get a complex or anything so if you're feelng guilty about it you can send it to me. I'll tote it around!

Thanks Dinadan. Wow wazu that dark red Case whittler is fabulous. Love the bone, love the frame, the lightning SS stamp, love the shield. Sweet one all around. Only problem is it's too pretty to use for anything but drooling. Beautiful. Stag swell center/balloon isn't bad either.

Great looking knives on this thread fellas! Here an old one I picked up this weekend. Henry Rogers (not Rodgers) Sons & Co, Sheffield. All I can find is that this company was in business between 1880 -1930. The knife has some rust that I'll try to clean up a bit, but the blades are pretty full and each one snaps hard. The handle material looks like a plastic which has shrunk. Any guess on a more definitive date? cheers

Very fine Seahorse, Ivoryman. The Case Seahorse is one of my favorite patterns. Here is another one:

Beautiful stag there, great Seahorse yourself. What kind of antler is it resting on?

Ivoryman - very nice Case 6308! I like the bone on that one.

I just noticed that a couple of posts back you asked what kind of antler my knife was resting on. It is just whitetail antler. It does have a bit of unusual widening in one place.
