"ELECTRIC" EBONY JACK KNIFE 1873-1890

I found this one going through a box full of knives. If I read my history correct, this knife has the stamp that was used by Friedmann & Lauterjung, 1873-1890, the company that was represented by the venerable JBF Champlin, whom I consider to be the real fountainhead of Case knives.
My question is since they were supposedly importers, who do you think made this knife. I first thought New York Knife Co., but can't find where they made knifes for Friedmann & Lauterjung. Whoever made it, it is super tight, has great fit and finish, and snaps like a Gator.
Any other help on the history would be appreciated as well.

An article in the premier issue of Knife Magazine, discusses Electric and F&L and pretty much states knives marked as yours were all German imports.
Writer didn't say it, but it seems apparent that changed after the tariffs of 1890 were enacted.

Nice knife, Joe. I have a few of the Electric Cutlery Co knives. They have all been really nice. This is the first one I have that is just marked "ELECTRIC"

I found this one recently , I believe it's pre NYK as well ?
