Picked up this 48 Improved Trapper with a little rust on both spines, otherwise like new. Got most of the spots off and now it's up to snuff. Nice knife, love both blades, natural bone, and trapper handle. Decent knife.

Is it a Trapper? Or, is it a Dog Leg Jack?SteelMyHeart85420 wrote:New to me...MOP Schatt & Morgan mini-Trapper with pen secondary...still a Trapper?
I guess that's for you to decide.
Good looking knife regardless of what it's called.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
Not to me. S&M can call it a Trapper if they want but to me, to be a Trapper the secondary blade needs to be a spay blade. I would call what you have a Jack Knife but that's just my opinion.SteelMyHeart85420 wrote:New to me...MOP Schatt & Morgan mini-Trapper with pen secondary...still a Trapper?
Regardless of what you call it, it's a beautiful knife.
Like a dog with no legs, it doesn't matter what you call it, it won't come anyway.

The '65-69 Mini Trapper twins. The 6207 stamped numbers are different sized, other than that, main stamp looks the same. Any way to tell specific years by pattern number stamp? Thanks if you have any ideas.
