Working in and out of the house so a good old Tl-29 comes in handy with the screw driver/stripper blade. Just happens to fit a Mini Mag AA Flashlight's nylon sheath.
Oh yeah, stuck this little Ka Bar on my belt for good measure too. :)
I've got that same kabar. I got it new in 1976 and it has been everywhere with me ever since, usually in my pack because I never really trusted the snap. I've long since lost track of how many big game animals I've field dressed with that knife.

Carried the BHK Maverick Scout on a little woods ramble this morning. Solid little knife, brushed green micarta handles and O1 steel, holds an edge really well and sharpens back up nicely. Hope to get much more use out of this one as fall continues to play out. Still too warm for any major woods time, temps in the 70's again today.

Looks very utilitarian, Mike. I'll bet you're rushing fall as much as Scott.

Incredible looking dr.t Jack there Dave, are the scales wood? Never seen one of those in all my knife surfing. Looks like something in a knife porn catalog. Thanks for posting.

Thanks, I-man. The scales are actually mammoth ivory. I've added a picture of the back. I had knife makers Craig Brewer and David Taber make these customs for me because I wanted a pair of truly unique EDCs. They are based on an old obscure jack I was lucky enough to come across. The original was made by William Elliot & Co. I don't even know the name of the pattern, but I love it.

10,000 years ago your knife handle was digging in the dirt, snow, water hole, beating the brush, fighting with other Mammoths, etc. That's incredible enough. Then a second life adorning knife porn and traveling with you on that baby is incredible. Think where that tusk has been. Traveled thousands of years through time and thousands of miles to end up in your pocket.

Rock on Dave, can't recall the last time one lasted me a week either. Might never happen again. That I can relate to. Cheers to heavy rotation.

Glenn, love the mop head name, and Dave, love the knife. Need a Mop Head's thread, now I want one of those too, *%&#$$!! it's the addiction again.
