Marbles
What can you tell me about this knife? 4 1/2" blade stag handle, stamped MARBLES GLADSTONE MICH. U.S.A. backside PAT'D 1916 U.S.A. Has much of its orginal finish. I don't do stright knives but liked this one. Does it have much value? A couple clicks for larger picture.

That's a nice knife...and hey, everybody has to have a couple fixed blades.
Looks like a Woodcraft...with all stag handle.
Some discussion of the model right here...

El Lobo and stagman, thanks for the information guys, it is nice to know that the knife is that old. I thought that it would need to be stamped MSA to be pre WW2. It is good to have knife friends that know what is what! If anyone else has more on this knife please post. I have a big ole stack of books but not much on Marbles.
Thanks again

Hi Stockman;
Was just talking to Dale yesterday about a woodcraft he just purchased. It was much later but the stamp is same as yours, which is a great example of what some refer to as lower case caps. The snap or button is in unbelievably good condition, they are usually bent,scratched or otherwise damaged. The only thing I can( in my opinion) see that would have made it better would have been the Boy Scout emblem. I am pretty sure this is the one that became a boy scout knife. Would it be possible to see a photo of the other side of knife. I revamped a couple of your photos to show what I was speaking of. Thanks for showing it.

If you click on your picture, when it enlarges it is just fine.
I did this one in PhotoFiltre. Sized and cleaned up...the picture, not the knife.
