Noticed this kinda cool advertising piece on the large auction site. Wouldn't mind having it, but not really too sure it's worth the $296 the seller is after. Seems a little steep for cardboard. But it may be quite rare. Dunno.

Look at his left hand. It's missing.

Robeson produced a lot of those die-cut stand-ups in the early 1900's, almost all of which advertised one of their lines of kitchen cutlery. Most I've seen were missing the stand up portion. I do have that part for the Thanksgiving Dinner one, but it was no longer attached to the card. The turkey one was incomplete.

I've never seen one still in the packaging and unused.

I have two and I think I paid a hundred dollars for one at a knife show and much less for the other on Ebay.

Yeah, Charlie, I was just saving the pic as well. I thought it looked off but didn't notice the missing hand. I noticed the knife looked kinda beat.

Actually, I think the knife is upside down. If you figure out where his left hand would be, he'd be holding the blade, I think, if the knife was tip down.
