Hi! from Pepe Ray

Post by Pepe Ray »

Yes, I'm a real Pepe. Actually a Grand Pepe. (No accents on my keyboard).
Got my first jack knife at 6YO. Got hooked and cut the same day. After about 35 years of dabbling, I concluded that there was no point to calling myself a collector. I couldn't decide on a theme and was too fickle to remain true to anything with an edge, regardless of its quality. I became a gatherer. At various times IML I've thinned out my assortment by giving away some as gifts for BD's or Christmas. There are a few w/family sentiment and will remain as part of my estate (the table covered w/shiney things surrounded by crows, picking and fighting.)
The remainder is up for grabs and ,depending on my mood, could go at any time.
A few days ago I purchased my first Dig/Cam. I'm still struggeling w/it. When I get it figured out I'll post some pics. Also gotta determine which forums/threads to use. Betcha I can get some help w/that? Eh?
There must be a Remington collector out there who's interested in a couple of folders I have. I'll try to get them pictured first. Be patient.
I've been surfing here for several weeks now and feel real comfortable.
Thanks. Pepe Ray

Hello Pepe, ::welcome::

There's help with your photos here, as many are quite good.

And then there are others of us who might be better at thinning out your collection !

O.K. I'm ready!

Post by Pepe Ray »

I have taken several pics of my 2 Remingtons. Because the light reflects in different ways depending on the angle that it strikes the reflective surfaces, I've altered the light angle and took several pics to show a maximum of the surfaces.
When I first decided to sell the knives, I coated them w/Sheath, a rust preventive by Birchwood-Casey. They have not been cleaned or polished to retain the patina.
Now I need instructions on how to post. They're on CD.
-----------------
Well-- I followed the instructions. Gotta go back to my software?? and reduce size by 60%+/-
Catch ya later, Pepe Ray

O.K., I've got some pics reduced to less than 2.0MB.
But I think I'll move to Advertisements Column as I can't find an appropriate place, IMHO.
