Newest Case Pick-Ups

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

Great one Mitch. Josey Whales and High Plains, two of the best. This one about disliking someone kills me every time as well. Enjoy.

Thanks. It's the first stag and Damascus combo I have.

I also picked this one up the day before that canoe. It's a nice little stag handle toothpick.

Great pickups Gents!

Welcome JW!

Cool CASE display. I think it is great you are trying to fill it. Not to be a dark cloud but in case you are unaware...

Storing the knives in the display will likely weaken the backsprings of the knives resulting in weak snapping knives. If you see the backsprings pushing out from the bottom of the knife, the springs are under tension. The springs will eventually have a "memory" to them.

Your choice but did not want it to be a shock or surprise down the raod, that is all.

Regards, Jerry

Thanks for the heads up. Wish I had the newer magnet system they use now but this is what I have. Hopefully they won't get too bad.

The Plumb colored Red Bone Half Stockman is indeed 06244 Jerry, you know your stuff. No number left on the Green Bone, rubbed out or worn off. I'll take your word for it, thanks for the compliments as always.

Thanks for the tip Jerry, makes sense, I store autos open, no tension on the deployment spring. Same idea.

No problem JW and Ivory. Just thought I would mention it.

I also forgot to mention about direct or indirect light and handle fading as a possible factor also.

Really nice as usual Larry! All are awesome but I am partial to that 94 with the 5375 running a close second place.
