Thanks everyone for the good words:
Cutting the slots for 96OT's toothpick and tweezers in bone would be almost impossible to do without cracking. There are several fixed blade patterns I would like but I'll probably try to get them in the ram's horn, The knives for the White Bone collection has kind of gotten out of control. It was going to consist of 13 knives and has gone up to 27. I don't have pics of them all up yet and there are one or two patterns I'm still trying to work out with Herman. I can see taking a step away from the White Bone for a bit, but as long as Herman can take the time to do them, I doubt the "collection" will ever be finished. Hopefully the display case will be done by the end of July and I can post a proper picture.

Love that Camel bone Doug. Another beauty for your collection. You have an incredibly good collection of Herman Williams knives.
Now that Herman is perfecting the Rams horn handles, does that mean that you are going to replicate what you now have in white bone, in Rams horn?
I am a great lover of Herman's knives, and have a great affinity with all the ones i have been able to secure from him.
Keep collecting Williams handled super knives, and showing them to us....we love them.

Got another Schrade Walden 825. MoorMan's stamped on the shield is the name of a large livestock feed supplier. The mirror polish on the blades is factory finish. I just cleaned it up. They also smoothed and polished the springs real pretty too. No milled liners on this one. I usually don't go for company special order knives, (blade etches and stuff), but I like this one.

I got a few more 825s in the last week. Only one has made it to me so far and I couldn't wait to post it. A Schrade Walden 4 line tang stamp with tube, a Schrade 4 line tang stamp, and a Schrade+ with a not often seen blade etch on a Schrade+.

Thanks, royal. Here is another knife that came today. GRAND DAD'S OLD TIMER BARLOW. I hadn't seen this display box for these before and the other one I used to have just had a regular brown wood grain box. This one has a clear plastic cover over the internal display. Kinda cool.

This BSA set with the sheath but missing the spoon, Has the Bridgeport, CT and patent date on the tang stamp. Would love to have the spoon

I don't know the answer to that. I've seen the same set on the bay with sheaths that have a large BSA seal imprinted on the flap but don't know the dates of production. The patent date is on the knife but patent date has nothing to do with a year of production. I haven't attempted to research this yet but intend to see what I can find out. The interwebs are good for that.

I am rusty on the history here, but it seems to me that Boker USA bought the George Schrade concern about 1955 or 1956, and with the switchblade law passed in 1958, that was the end of their George Schrade operation. If my memory of this is correct, then all of those sets were made before 1958. I don't have any evidence to back my opinion up, but I am guessing they never made the spoons, but let a contract for them or even just picked some up wholesale. There is a descendant of the George Schrade family poking around on the forums; perhaps he will join in.

A little searching the interwebs pretty much validates your memory tougueriver. Pre 1956, so somewhere between the end of the war and then. I assume these weren't made during the war but only a supposition.
