prayer request

There are times in each of our lives that rain falls, hard times come and it helps to reach out to our friends and to our God for a little support. This is the place to express those needs, concerns and situations so others in the AAPK family can keep you in their prayers.

God bless you Kaleb. With God all things are possible and I certainly think it's possible you can come through this and be better for having endured it with Gods help. Put yourself in His hands and trust Him. He is the GREAT PHYSICIAN.

I'm praying for you my friend. ::tu::

thank you all. I just got home from my first round of chemo. 5 day treatment, go back again tomorrow for a single 5 hr treatment. It was rough but the worst part was the hospital food. I am used to 100% fresh homecooked meals! Doctors orders is no shop until this is over which sucks, just have to make the most of what I have I guess.

I am still praying for you Kaleb.
The 'no shop' orders would be tough for me. The shop is my refuge where I can get so engrossed in working on a knife that I can forget the pain for a few hours.

Keep looking up brother. The cool thing is that you have the Creator of the Universe walking through this with you.
Just lean on Him and he will get you through it. ::nod::

I have heard you will have a lot of bad days that go along with the treatments. Stay strong, buddy. As Dale said, the Lord is by your side, you are not alone.

Kaleb I think they feed you that stuff in the hospital to motivate you to get better so you don't have to eat it anymore. :)

You're still in my prayers.

Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

I go in for port installation tomorrow, then back to the hospital tuesday for another week of getting poison pumped in me, boredom and terrible food. ::facepalm::

Hey fellas, doing ok thanks for the thoughts and prayers. apparently they are working. I made it through my 3rd round of treatment, after the next treatment they will do another scan. The doctors did a scan after the 2nd treatment and said it had shrunken a bunch already. apart from side effects of medicines and hospital stays I feel better than I've felt in several months. I'll just be glad to get through this and get back on with things. The leash they have me on keeps me from doing 95% of my normal every day stuff. Plan is by mid august I'll be back in the saddle, we'll see how it goes! My port did malfunction and they had to remove it and reinstall a new one on the other side of my chest but that was a small bump in the road I guess.

Friends, I went in for a PET scan yesterday to check the progress of the chemotherapy. I still have 2 treatments left. The results from the PET scan showed full response to the treatment and there was no cancer found. By all accounts it appears I am cured! Thank you all for the prayers and thoughts, it would seem someone was listening and deemed me worthy of more time here on earth. I thank God and all of you who have kept me in your thoughts and/or prayers for that!
