penknife with bolster and lanyard bail
I'm looking for a traditional penknife, preferably new, 2 1/2" closed, with pen and spear blades, bolster and lanyard bail.
The handle slabs will be customized, and therefore should be nothing worth keeping.
What makes this search difficult is the bail.

Re: penknife with bolster and lanyard bail
If you plan on doing the custom work here is a chance to make your own bail from small pinstock or wire and just flatten the ends. Need some small tools, should not be too hard to do. That way you can get an inexpensive pen knife and make it suit your needs.Edgewise wrote:I'm looking for a traditional penknife, preferably new, 2 1/2" closed, with pen and spear blades, bolster and lanyard bail.

No I don't Hukk, but I'm asking Muskrat Man to do it, so your suggestion will be even easier.Hukk wrote: If you plan on doing the custom work here is a chance to make your own bail...
The idea is for M.M. to put turquoise on a small knife for me to wear as a "functional pendant" (M.M.'s term for it)
I chose turquoise because I saw a picture of Louis Lamour with turquoise around his neck, and I associate turquoise with Louis Lamour.
Thanks for coming through with your knife suggestions, guys. I'll pass them on to M.M. as he sees them himself. (I'm trying to pass on the choice of the knife to him
Hukk's advice has increased our options immensely.
El Lobo, nice knife, but 3" might be getting a bit long for a pendant.

I have a Case pen with a bail. So-so stag handles.
It's a 52033 about 2-5/8 to 2-3/4" long.

Just saw your post, Upnorth, but the picture is no longer available.
I didn't see a #033 pattern on the AAPK case numbering. Is it the same as a #33 ? Spear or clip point?
Paladin, a tempting chance at a Remington, but I needed the bail pinned through the bolster, and not so much blade loss.
BTW, that Bruckmann looks superb.
