Very kind words, Ivoryman...to be fair, I should mention that I have been the recipient of many pieces of beautifully carved ivory (and bone) from you. And, as soon as I receive the latest shipment of Lone Wolf Paul ivory mods done by Mr. Ivoryman, I will be sure to post photos for all to enjoy and drool over. Meanwhile...here's just a small sampling of some of the smaller stuff he's given to me.

Garddogg, I bought a Griptilian last night. It's in transit. Mine has a thumb stud on a plain blade. I notice yours has the oval. Are they different models?

My order says it's a 551. I got black handles.
The blade is more of a drop point.

I haven't been on here in a few days. I'm dressed in my work duds.
Have ZT0566BW, Case Humpback, Ulster Pen and Pioneer.
Houston was expected to float away overnight so I'm not leaving home without a text or call!
Looking for the magic penny!

Today it's throw back to the first knife I ever sought. In high school 1980s went to S.F. CA. Spent half the day in Chinatown at many many knife and pawn shops looking for one of these. 1970's or something Italian auto, we called them switchblades. Couldn't get one, all day every shop owner said "illegal, can't get it." Even tried bribing some. No dice. Couldn't believe there were gun shops everywhere selling autos back then, but no auto knives. Then early 20th Century I mentioned it to QTCut5 who had exactly what I was looking for and we cut a deal. This got me into collecting knives. This started it all. Q and the "Rust Free" tang stamped auto. History and Nostalgia is in my favorite carry today.

Normally, I'm a one-hand opening (flipper) pocket clip knife carry guy...but this little Northwoods Calico Bone Norfolk has me rethinking my whole EDC philosophy...looks like from now on I'll be carrying at least two. Sweet piece of steel and bone, a bit pricey but worth every penny. ::ds::

Beautiful Calico bone there Q, great looking Wharncliffe too. Another Northwoods looker. Great pics.

I'm going up a ladder today to cut some vines off an old building downtown. One hand deployment might come in handy.
