Been carrying this old Schrade stockman and a Northfield 23 for the last 2 or 3 days.
The 23 worked great on my moose steak last night (except for the lanyard) but I had to use some Simichrome to clean the blade this morning.

Well Bugster it is a method we use to bond a ground wire to steel ,we put a kinda gun powder in to the mold then a primer then ignite it get it gut it good

1965-69 Case Mini Trapper 2 blade side by side, clip and pen, 6 1/4 open, 3 1/2 closed. Rock solid lock up, no wobble and feels like it will never close unintentionally, should call it the mini bear trap, or trapper, but at least you know it's solid and heavy duty. Blows my newer Mini T's away. Prettier too, this old red bone was exceptional. Fit and finish impeccable, flush transitions, smooth everything, flawless so far. Built like a tank. Love this knife and since QTCut5 sent me this gem nothing else is getting carried. One of the most satisfying knives I have ever seen. Vintage Case are great.

Glad you like the vintage Case 6207 jigged red bone mini trapper...I happen to have it's (slightly darker) twin. Some of the newer Mini Trappers (07) are also pretty nice...and maybe not quite so difficult to open. But just comparing the red dye jobs on the bone handles between the 1965-69 6207 Clip/Pen and the 2002 6107 Wharncliffe Damascus...there seems to be a clear and obvious difference, yet they're both referred to as "jigged red bone."

Not like, love and big time. That one of yours is fine as well. Thanks for one of the best knives I have and a piece of history. Don't make them like that anymore. You're not the only one Phil. I've had a Jones for one in orange for a couple of years or more but the price shuts me down every time I reach for my pocketbook. It's probably all for the best.

2014 Northfield #92 Talon, Wharncliffe, Moss Green bone. 3 5/8 closed 6 1/2 open. Great snap open, closed, half, tight, flush and smooth, very thin and light. IMHO optimum EDC size with substantial blade, but thin, light, small carry, even in cargo shorts. Didn't like the humpback look first, but it fits the hand and feels good and glad I got over the mental hurdle of looks because it's a fabulous knife. Actually looks good to me now. Point of view is determined by your view point, I heard, or something.

Plus when I handled one at Gander Mountain, it felt a tad on the light side for my taste and the money they ask for 'em. Just give me a Buck 722 or a 297. Now thas a knoife.
