Newest Case Pick-Ups

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

Tom. Congratulations.
Those are beautiful knives.
For me, it's nice to recognize the closed C on the Muskrat shield. I'm learning.

Found this old well loved veteran at a flea market for the grand sum of one dollar. Fairly scarce Tested XX 06221-1/2 green bone, long pull. It was rusted shut but obvious that the master was short and secondary broken. Figured for a buck I'd take it home and see what I could do with it. After a good soaking in Tuf-glide I got it open but unfortunately the tang stamp is all but gone. With a loupe you can barely make out part of the letters in CASE but that's all. And unbelievably, what's left of the blades now has good snap! Wish it was in better shape, but it is what it is. ::dang:: Worth the dollar though, just for the fun and entertainment!

Nice oldie there Ken. You just don't see many 21 patterns. Only made TESTED and prior as I recollect. Scarce pattern. I have a pretty sweet condition TESTED 02221-1/2 with a regular pull. Interesting frame shape for sure.

Nice knives John. You may know this but those knives came as a set of three. 5000 sets made.

Here is a link to the set I auctioned off to help WWP.

But Ken, it's got real personality. :D

I just got this knife and I have never had an older knife that was in such pristine condition.
These older Cases were such well made and well designed knives.
Very dark red scales which look real nice on this compact little beauty.
