#82 in Osage Orange.
I really like the size (4 3/16") and all 3 blade selections.
The blades sit low in the frame (when closed).
More great ones from GEC. ::tu::

That's a beauty, Mark, and one that I would definitely carry and use (depending on the difficulty of the pull) How would you rate the pull on that one?

Thx Q
It is one of the lighter pulls that I ve had on a GEC. I would say a 5 or 6. Definitely NOT a hard or heavy pull. NO halfstops on this one. Smooth opening.
The African Blackwood with the slanted bolsters look good too...

That 85 smooth ivory bone is great. Love it

I finally broke down and got this #42 Natural Stag Missouri Trader. I was hoping to find one with a wharncliffe blade, but the stag on this one was just too beautiful to pass up. It's a big knife, though, bigger than I realized. If I were ever to carry this pattern, I would have to use a belt sheath...too big for pocket carry, impo.

Yup, that stag #38 Whittler is a real beauty...and, it's yet another one of those that cause me to fall to my knees and scream out in agony to the Universe, "Why can't I have every knife I want?" But, then, the Universe, in its infinite wisdom, reminds me that I just waaaaayyyy overspent on three ivory handled knives: the Northwoods Elephant Ivory Willamette Whittler (second from top), the Northwoods Elephant Ivory Freemont Jack (third from top) and the Scagel Elephant Ivory Barehead Jack (bottom). As much as I love stag (and believe me, I REALLY love stag), I simply cannot resist ivory (and I'm worried that someday soon it may not be available...at least not legally).

~Q~

PS--I'm including the photo of these knives in this thread because the Northwoods are made by GEC, so, technically it's appropriate.

You picked a nice one there, gino!

I just got one of these in natural stag, too. The knife is special to me because it was released on the day my son was born!

Mailman brought these two today --- both very well made--medium pull & good snap -- the "pick bone" jigging is some of the best,I've seen lately from GEC*** seems they captured that ""Ol knife look"" with these :) ::tu::
