6233 red bone CAN CASEXX FACTORY FIX THIS???

HEY GUYS.....
CAN THIS BE FIXED BY THE CASE XX FACTORY????

PEN BLADE IS ISSUE
both blades walk an talk great ,snappy both ways!!!!!!!
issue: even though secondary pen is SNAPPY ,BOTH WAYS....in OPEN POSITION
it has up and down play....like A LOT OF IT!!! never had one that snaps open....but the spring
does not touch the tang when open no side to side wobble in either blade.

I would think, I've sent them a few knifes over the years. Had them replace a spring and scales replaced on a mid 60s 5" toothpick, they only charged $31 and the knife came back like new. Just give them a call and ask, I've found them very easy to deal with, there service department is great

Josh, they can fix it if they haven't changed the tooling since it was made. Case repairs are made using current factory production parts, so if anything is broke and needs replacing they'll do it with current parts. If current parts won't fit (different frame, springs, etc) then they most likely can't fix it. (If it's a warranty repair and can't be fixed they'll send you a new knife.) Unless you tell them your knife has collector or sentimental value they're gonna assume you just want it functional again and they'll do what is needed to make it so. For example on an old knife if you don't want the blades replaced with new blades, be sure they know that. Otherwise it may come back with the old Case XX USA stamped blade from 1965-1969 replaced with a 2015 blade, if that's what they need to do to repair it. I have had good experience with their repair center in the past, including some work on older knives. Just be sure to communicate with them so they know what you want.

Not that anyone needs me to, but I can verify that everything you've been told to this point is true. From what you've described, it sounds like you have some wear on the tang or the backspring on that blade (maybe both). While I have replacement parts for your knife, I'd check with Case first which might require sending it to them for evaluation. If they can fix it, let them. Their costs are reasonable and turn around time is usually pretty good.

if it can not be fixed, we would be happy with a new RED BONE unit in exchange.

I told Skyler, we need ta wait an see if the FELLAS even think CASEXX will fix a older knife with
this particular issue.

Case has changed the tooling on the 33 pattern several times since that knife was made. It never hurts to ask them though.
