Sure looks like a Robeson...but...
To me this knife looks unmistakably like a Robeson.

I agree Steve. It says Robeson everywhere but on the tang.
I think what looks to be a piece of loose metal may actually be an attempt to properly fit the secondary blade. Looks like someone has taken a hammer to the back square in an effort to keep the blade at 180 deg. or less when the blade is fully open. Striking that part of the square in order to elongate it. Makes me a bit suspicious of the pen blade. It would be interesting to have it in hand to see how the pen blade fits up.

If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.

Re: Sure looks like a Robeson...but...
Looks "Robeson" to me too.
I cannot explain the cut-away on the pen, other than it probably sets the blade up to abut the end of the backspring.
Here's a close-up of the "PEERLESS" tang stamp.
I think there is a remnant of the word "ROCHESTER" there.
Photo should enlarge with one or two left clicks.
I think the Robeson mark was ground off and replaced with PEERLESS.
Probably done by Robeson. This is exactly how most Fulton Cutlery knives look with their F. C. CO. stamp and some remaining portions of a Robeson stamp.
This looks like an old 056 pattern.

Charlie, Do you have a list of Robeson contract brands? Is there a post on AAPK for this? I've seen some mighty fine Robeson contract knives over the years. A rose by any other name........

Not a list, per se, but I know the ones I've seen.
Continental
Globe
F. C. CO. (Fulton)
Ka-Bar
and now
Peerless.
Also Terrier, but I think that was a house brand, not a contract.

Thanks Charlie.
Here is a picture of a sweet little Globe Jr. cattle knife I recently fished out of the bay. Robeson all the way.
