New Guy from New England
Hello, I stumbled upon this forum doing research on a knife collection that was left to me by my father. I generally like pocket knives and have carried the Original Camillus LEV-R-LOK Half Serrated locking folder for years. My father was huge collector of all American, German, and Irish Knives and I have my work cut out for me sorting and cataloging. I have always been a Camillus guy, I collect Rifles and have a 03FFL and Gunsmithing License from AGI. Being a collector of rifles and Bayonets, etc brands such as Ka-Bar and Camillus are well known. I also am very big into U.S. Coin Collecting and am a history buff, actually I teach U.S. History II at a local college.

Welcome to AAPK. Sounds like you'll fit right in here. Don't hesitate to ask questions and post pictures of anything you want to know about, or just show off.

Thanks guys, my first attempt at pictures was a failure as I tried to load them right from photo bucket. I got the link on how to do it and will be sharing my pieces with you as I unbox them. I have already started and posted in the Buck, Colonial, Camillus, and H Boker subforums.

I never bid on a knife in my life on eBay until I joined this site, now I have bids on 5 Camillus knives going on at once. I have to say this is a much cheaper hobby than Collecting Coins and U.S. Military Service Rifles/Bayonets. Is there a Subforum for KA-BAR and Camillus Mk2 U.S. fighting knives?

For my eBay, my advice is bid once, be a sniper.Radium07 wrote:I never bid on a knife in my life on eBay until I joined this site, now I have bids on 5 Camillus knives going on at once.

I do that often, I will put the item in my watch list and place my bid within an hour before the auction ends.jerryd6818 wrote:For my eBay, my advice is bid once, be a sniper.Radium07 wrote:I never bid on a knife in my life on eBay until I joined this site, now I have bids on 5 Camillus knives going on at once.
