Question 2: Any idea where I might be able to get about 5 original leather sheaths that go with these knives, as I have just purchased all of the above (without sheaths) Thanks, Smoke

Camillus question
Hey all, I have a two fold question regarding the Camillus Wildlife series lockbacks. These are the ones 4 3/4 closed, 8 1/4 open, with no lanyard hole. Question 1: How many different cameo animals are there? I am familiar with the running bear, running deer, elk head, howling (El Lobo)
and the raccoon. Are there more?

There were, I think, about five different American Wildlife series by Camillus. STretched from the early 70s until about the time they went out of business.
The knives in quesiton are from the last series, done with a model 11 lockback. Nice set, good knives. Here are a couple of scans from catalogs. Also shows the correct Camillus sheath to carry them in. I think Camillus also did nice full sets of the entire series.
These seemed to have been a particularly long lived series; I found some of these pics in a 1992 catalog and some in a catalog as late as 2000.
The last of the Camillus stuff was auctioned off early this week. If our experience with Schrade is any example, we can expect to see all kinds of cutlery flotsom floating to shore at various wholesalers and Ebay. It might prove possible to get the sheaths you want. Looks like two different kinds of sheaths, with or without imprinting.
And hey, I cannot find a racoon in any of the catalogs!
Again, perhaps Tom can offer much more help than I can.

Sir Wolf..... I thought you might get a kick outta that.
Phil, thank you so much for your info and pic's. As it happens, the raccoon shield is on a knife that looks exactly like like the Wildlife series, however, "Wildlife Series" is not on the blade. The blade is completely blank
This knife was in a different lot of the auction than the other Camillus knives I bought. All I am looking at are pictures at this time but hope to have them in hand in a few days.
The auction I won is the jbrucevoyles auction#34 lot 102 and lot 178. Thanks, Kelley
