Ulster tang stamp weirdness

The rest of this knife looks good, but these tang stamps look like they're electro penciled. Maybe they were touched up, or light and deteriorated that way? The "CO" looks normal. Anyone seen this before?

In my opinion the knife is fine. Not really the type of knife or the stamp that someone is going to fake. Not enough profit for the crook.
I have seen tang stamps like that and really pay them no mind on that type of knife. Not sure exactly how they got that way.

The dies that were used to strike those tang stamps eventually wore out. Many knife companies used the stamping dies as long as possible in order to keep costs down. I suspect that the dies used to stamp those tang stamps had been on the job a good while and were a bit worn and tattered when they made those marks.

As Tom said, the knife looks legit. (And it's a nice one)
