My first fixed blade.. A Camillus "Granpa" Sharpfinger

Post by #goldpan »

I picked up an unfinished sharpfinger Camillus several years ago and shoved in a drawer and forgot that I had it. It came with some plastic scales that were not affixed. I did not really care for them so I made my own. The blade had been blanked, heat treated and partially ground. So I did all of the finish work and cut some more wine barrel oak for handles. Put it all together and put an edge on it. Little bugger sure is sharp! Sorry I forgot the before pics... but here are the finished pics!

Nice job. ::tu::

Those are great kits. I think they were put together from parts after Camillus closed.
I have put several of them together. I think I have another one still in the plastic bag.
