You fellows sure carry fine knives. How do you keep them so pristine? Today I just carried one. A Case Seahorse that has become my favorite carry over the past year. It shows the scars of sharpening and carry.

The world's most undervalued working/using knife, a Western Boulder, Colo 742! Built as heavy as a Case XX, solid snappy springs, and the best carbon steel ever used in a pocket knife. My old XX's and Eye Brands come close in the steel department, but this old Western stuff is just a tad better IMO.

I have prettier 742's, more pristine, but this one is my go to when there's work to be done. I had to straighten out some Bubba's grinder experiment on the clip, and some not so good sharpening on the sheepsfoot. But she's right now! I figure if I wear this one out I'll start packing ine if the other Boulder 742's!

I love that Case XX display case Josh, I need one of those for my house! Where did you stumble across that beauty? Did it cost ya' an arm and a leg... or just an arm? Congrats on the finds.

the acrylic was $30 at a local shop.......
the CASEXX display is a 1976 model.....i have baby blue board too.....
and it came full of pumpkin boxes,paper work,order forms,inventory sheet,and 1 knife (lil 2 blade eisenhower) all locked inside........he found key for me just as i was leaveing,so he never looked inside
it has his and his brothers name inside......as they were original owners to order it from the factory
in 1976 for their PAWN SHOP in BAKERSFIELD,CA......after they retired ,he moved to VISALIA and it was extra layin around.........i met him to buy another knife he had for $40............he mentioned display and asked $50 for it.......i bought it sight unseen,by HIS description

I am going to play around a bit in the garden today, work up the soil and get some carrots and radishes in the ground. Since I will be bustin' some dirt, I figure I will give the ol' full sized Sodbuster some pocket time today
