KNIFE FINDS OF THE DAY

Well, of course you're nice. Most folks from Spokane are nice.
But you've got some nice knives there. I couldn't score that many good knives at one time around here.
Can you elaborate on those a bit? That's a good looking easy open there.

I met a gentleman that had a table at the show. He didn't have any knives displayed but had 4 cigar boxes full of old knives he had collected over time. He said he really didn't collect knives and didn't know much about them. He kindly allowed me to sit at his table and sort thru all 4 boxes. All were cleaned, oiled and most had nearly full blades. I never did make it through the rest of the show. Due to other commitments I didn't get to spend as much time as I would have liked to. The pictures are exactly how I found them. I sure hope to see him and look through those boxes again. I didn't want the bones to get lonely so I put them in the Dog Box
The easy opener is an Imperial bone
4" stockman is a Camillus 69 bone

Sorry, no pictures. I can't find my camera, but today I found a mint in box Buck 115 set with the 118 and the 103 knives for about $75 at an antique shop. The box isn't in good shape but the knives sure are. Also from the same dealer, a unused Schrade Old-Timer honesteel for $12. Wasn't going to even stop except my wife wanted a donut from the shop next door.

Noticed a garage sale running errands today and this was the only knife they had. Brand new with the original pocket case and chain for 25 cents.

Nice looking Boker Dave, and great pattern.

Here's what I found today at the shows in Mpls.Mn. Shapleigh bowie hunter(part of bone missing on reverse side), IXL single blade sheepsfoot with hard rubber scales and killer snap, and a 4 blade pearl Beekman pen with perfect pearl, full blades, excellent snap and long pulls on all 4 blades(all blades marked) and only spent $50 total.____Dave

Nice finds everyone...DJ that Beekman pen is a beauty

I went out to a few fleas this week-end and I was in the mood for finding some knives that could tell stories. I told myself that anything made in USA, Germany, England or Europe was coming home with me. I ended up finding a variety of knives - some for parts, and some users that I'll post as I clean them up. I'm carrying the German peanut today...it cleaned up quite nicely. cheers
