Re: Shenandoah Valley Knife Show
I hope to be going on Friday the 4th. If not Friday then Sunday morning early. Great show, picked up several nice knives at a great price last year.
Pocket, fixed, machete, axe, it's all good!

Going to miss this year
. I'll be in SC. Went last year. It was my first dedicated 'Knives Only' show. I met Tom there and he led me astray. I overdosed on Canal Street. VERY persuasive those folks from Drop Point Hunter!
Definitely a great regional show. ENJOY!

Let me clarify what Randy is talking about above......
Tom led me astray....meaning that I introduced him to Michael at Droppointhunter and a quality made USA KNIFE.....
He and his lovely wife took it from there and bought several Canal Street beauties....
LOL

Re: Shenandoah Valley Knife Show
Had a great time at the show on Friday! Wasn't really looking for anything in particular except farmer jacks for Lyle (asked but no one had any, bud) but ended up buying a USA era 6202 1/2 Case barehead jack, 2 4-line Camillus knives and a quart of honey. Had dinner at Edelweiss (thanks for the recommendation, Mike!) in Greenville, VA; excellent food, beer and desserts. Stayed overnight in Staunton, got up early and skied at Wintergreen yesterday on their last day of the season. Then I met up with family and friends at last night's Nats/Braves game. Taking it easy today, wish I was back at the show looking at more sweet, antique knives.

Re: Shenandoah Valley Knife Show
Past through Harrisonburg today about 3:15pm, north bound coming home from SC. Too late to stop.
Hope anyone who attended had a great time and found some great knives.
Weekend was not lost though. Scored a Queen Robeson Gunstock off Ebay. Sure arrive mid-week.

Planning on going to the Saturday show. Trying to save some $$$ for a possible gun purchase so I'm going to take some Canal Street knives and a Remington Bullet knife along and try my hand at trading. Should be a learning experience.

I will be there on Saturday! Three hour drive, but worth it. I usually buy several CSC knives from Michael, however, he won't be there this year.
I'll still be there looking for some quality Schrades

I'll be there when the doors open at 2pm on Friday......hoping to add some Scouts to my collection or some Landers, Frary & Clark's......was hoping to make the trip to Eugene this year but it's just too cost prohibitive with two in college.

I'm shooting for 9:00 Saturday when they open. Might be wearing a red Case t-shirt if it's warm. Introduce yourself if you see me.

Re: Shenandoah Valley Knife Show
Spent 3-hours at the show yesterday with my lovely wife (who drove both ways I might add) who attended her first knife-only show. In the first 15-minutes I purchased 4 Landers, Frary & Clark folding knives for less than 50% of the asking price and nothing after that. I saw a few MOP's from Dr. Emmberton's collection that caught my eye but the prices were out of my range. The only official Scouts that I was interested in were on display-only and no amount of pressure was going to have them coming home with me. I will post pictures after my daily chores and Easter preparations are completed.
The best news was that this morning as I was preparing the haul for the safe my wife said to me, "I now understand your passion and I think I've been bit by the same bug".........GOD HELP US - SO MUCH FOR THE RETIREMENT FUND!
