Simmons hardware knife
http://cgi.ebay.com/VINTAGE-SIMMONS-HDW ... dZViewItem This knife is not an original Simmons hardware Hornet. The Simmons mark should be on the mark side, and the Hornet emblem should be on the pile side. I suspect these were made in germany in the 70's. You will see these with the Keen Kutter marking also. They are not old either. The whole blade shape is wrong too, for a vintage knife.

I did a little browsing on eBay. UK this evening, hoping to find some of those great old hawks that S.K. has shown.
I was disappointed in finding so few pocket knives listed, many being the same old junk as here.
I saved two in my eBay for guests so I could go back for another look. When I did, there were also two closed listings that I did not put there.
The purchaser was the subject of this discussion !

If it's meant for me to have it, it'll still be there.

i don't understand what you are sayin rigwelder. i certainly know how to spell moron. btw, what does "whoes" spell? do you know the seller?
1. maroon: from the urban dictionary
A term of derision often uttered by Bugs Bunny when referring to an interaction with a dopey adversary. It is a mispronunciation of the word "Moron"
"What a Maroon!" "Will ya get a load of this maroon"
