lets see currently 37 and have had an interest in all things sharp for about 18 years. Although i have yet to make a from scratch knife ::dang:: i have studied a good bit so i'm not entirely lost. in my circle of friends and at work i'm the guy that knows the most and can sharpen anything... :mrgreen: i have also done a few repairs on some knives. i reground the tip on a schrade 60t and replaced the handles on a few fixed blade knifes after the original was damaged and plan to restore a drawer full of older knives picked up here and there.
i really like the pictures you guys are posting and the shop and tool photos are at least letting me know i'm going in the right direction. ::nod::

Alabama I under stand you are very dry there this year.

I live in the SICK state now... :lol:

The old abbreviation is ILL.

You sure found the right place to learn things and just not all knife things.
We also tell JOKES and have fun here too.

It seems to be a place to learn how to take photos of your knives first.
I am looking forward to seeing some of your knives and work.
If you need help Just ask some one will come along here at AAPK to help.

i could come home with every adult magazine known to man and my wife wouldnt bat an eye but let a knife catalog in and she hides the check book and threatens to go to her mothers....

already pricing a few new tools and have winning bid for a project knife...

My 3 year old knows how to dial 911 while his brother applys the tourniquit i also have the best first aid kit on the block

hat's on the list .....

Welcome, I have learned alot here but I can tell you it cost me a lot to learn how to play Texas holdem too. You see in Texas Holdem, someone else is still holding my cash, at least with knives, I am holding something that I can appreciate so right now I have spent about the same on both so be careful. I guess the most valuable lesson I have learned here so far is, "There are more knives than the money I have so I have to be more patient than in Texas Holdem!" It is sites like this that you can enjoy knives with others that share the passion/obsession so it is like we all have a piece of the knife sort of! surv
