I forgot all about the knife and even the conversation until it showed up in my mailbox.
I was ecstatic!
The red coloration on the bolsters indicate to me it may have been near a celluloid knife that was offgassing at some point in time, however that did clean off quite nicely. I have carried this knife most of the week and really like it! How can you not like a four-line Camillus with Rogers bone handles?
These are the pictures of the knife before I cleaned it. I had to take them indoors as it was raining.
Hopefully this week I can get some good pictures outdoors (if the weather will cooperate) of this knife since I've cleaned it, polished it and carried it for a week. The steel and this knife is outstanding and it holds an edge incredibly well!
