Nice Perry! Got a before pic or detail on what Dale did to the center knife? All are pretty in the bone department.

cato, that is what I thought. that is some real sick looking stag on the knife. congrats on a beauty. Seems like the 99 XX stag knives have some of the best XX stag, in my opinion. I think that one is not an "A" blade model. Could be wrong.
I posted an A blade 99-1/2 on page 2 of this thread. One of my favorites that I have in stag and I love the patteren to boot.

Nice looking jacks cato, the stag IS fantastic on that Case XX. I also really like the worm grove of the Catt, not to mention the etch on the blade. I cant quite make it out, any idea what it reads?

Fantastic get Roger. All steel or iron,I guess? Nice different shield,and even though that jigging (terrific) seems older,it still has the German flavor to me. Great looking master,heavy swedge and tapered long pull through the tang. Excellent knife. I expect it's a heavy one.::tu:: ::tu::

Joe ,thanks for taking the time to show thatlovely Mills.I can't find anything on it's maker.It is nice.

Roger has some of the most beautiful examples of old cutlery,and these two are no exceptions.Thanks for showing. Does that Utica have the old UTK stamp on the pile side?

No Lyle it doesn't.Just stamped on the front.Both blades stamped Utica Cutlery Co. Utica NY, made in the USA.

CASE 99, 99 1/2 and 99 SHR pattern 4 1/8 Jacks. All are mint and near mint condition.

Handles are Green bone, stag and rough black. Note the difference in the stag between the XX and the USA and 10 dot knives. This is typical of Case knives from these time frames.
