Scott, That Gerber MK-1 is a nice find. They're not as desireable as nor as well documented as the Mark-II but I think they're still a very nice knife in their own right.

I've had mine for 30+ years.

This might help you date it. The differences can be very subtle so look closely. (I just put this together special for you.

)

Edit: Your pic is pretty good. I think yours is a 1972-1981

My finds O'da day is a Case 6333 with pretty purple bone and a Winchester pen.

A buddy that buys estates called to meet him at the flea market to pick up some workables.Gut to clean em up to ID but one is a Utica girl scout featherlite PAT APL on the tang.the last pic is a Ulster\knife co\NY has tribal spear and Rodgers bone..Any one know what year??thanks..............now later in the day I have em cleaned up to ID TOP LEFT TO RIGHT Imperial 1936-52 stockman,Klien,Original bowie G.C.C.O japan373,Ulster jack c-unknown,Western Bolder B&T,Imperial c- late 20's,Imperial KampKing c-1946-56...I'D really like to know the age of the Ulster.Anyone know??? THANX

The stamp on your Ulster was used from 1876 to 1941.

Picked this up a month or so ago. Main blade on one side says "Jowika Solingren" and the other side says "Gusstahl". The saw blade says "Made in Germany". The massive needle has no markings.

Since it doesn't say West Germany, Im going to assume it is pre-WWII. Not sure what sort of knife has a saw and a sail needle on it though. Suggestions are appreciated.

Hit a flea market afta Ice drinking on the frozen tundra and gut a Colonial hobo and fishing knife also a beat up Ka bar trapper.the hobo will clean up nice.

Nice finds Gents.

New job hasn't let me get out on the weekends for a while. Finally had a chance to hit some yard sales today.

Top to bottom:

Robert Klaas Sod Buster
Puma razor
Ashamed to say this one (Bought it because it was priced so cheap)
Schrade Cut Co Walden NY with peach seed bone. (Unfortunate the pile side has a piece missing out of the bone. Clip blade is busted at the tip.)

And my favorite find of the day an Ulster Knife Co Dwight Devine Jack. Not sure of the year but sure its pre '41. Nice full blades and one of the sharpest knives I now own. Thought it deserved a bit more attention than the others.

Not a bad day for knife huntin. Best part was all the people I met.
