And the prices aren't bad either, but that China thing just bugs me. It is the same with the Rough Riders even though they look nice, what I've seen on SMKW's site and one I did buy at my local Pawn.

In my experience the fit & finish of modern Chinese made knives appears to be very good. The quality of the steel is what I question.

Thanks for that TripleF. I thought they were a good knife.
I can't deny that I like em. The Outdoorsmans series [Acorn sheild] in the smooth tobacco bone seem well made to me.

I didn't know Kershaw made mini thermite!
My son has a large Thermite and loves it. I'm thinking of getting one myself.
They are a bigger, well made modern folder.
A lot to like.

That Mini Thermite is cool beans! I too did not know there was a mini!
When some fine folks over at EDCF sent me a replacement ZT0566BW my Thermite has roughly been collecting dust....

::ds:: Jerry, I very well could cut myself but it wouldn't be the first time.

The knives look much bigger in the photo than they are. The fixed blade Subcom cutting

edge is 2 3/8" and the little Subcom folders blade 1 7/8".

Becoming a regular 'at work' combo for me lately:

CRK Small Sebenza Insingo (Micarta)
SAK Alox Cadet (Silver)
GEC 66 Slim (Red River Acrylic)

I'll swap out the 66 for another small GEC (Apaloosa 25, Maple 62 EPC), or small Spyderco (Manbug, Jester), but the CRK and the SAK seem to have taken up permanent residence from Monday - Friday … this is the most consistent I have ever been with my EDC … they just seem to be "the right fit" these days … ya know what I mean?
