USA maker? bone electricians knife

I cant figure out the maker of this knife. The small blade has USA...nothing visible on main blade. Anyone know who the maker is & could it be an electricians knife? The groove on main blade is flat. Any help appreciated!

I thought imperial at first but i thought all easy open USA came with a bale? Any idea what year?

The US Navy bought a bunch of those during WWII. They were navy issue, general utility knives.
The ones stamped U.S.A. on the small blade were made by Imperial.
These knives were made by Imperial, Camillus, Utica, Pal Blade Co and Kingston.
Kingston was a joint operation between Ulster & Imperial. They later became part of Imperial Schrade Corp.
The knives made for the Navy by Kingston were stamped MADE IN U.S.A.

These are different from the TL-29 or what we now call "electrician knives."
The electrician knives have a screwdriver blade and were longer; about 3-3/4" though there was some variation from some companies.


EDIT- Silvey shows one like yours without bail on page 65 of his book.
