Thanks Ken. I didn't see that.
Humble little round. With a rifle I shot at 100 yards at a target with the short. It did very well at that and accurate too. I had to compensate 7 inches, I think, for the drop.
I wouldn't want to get shot with it.

Glocks are supposed to be able to go through pretty much anything and still fire.
Except for the 19 and 36 I don't much care for the Glock.

I've got a G19Gen4, G26Gen4 and G42. They may not be particularly sexy, but they are deadly accurate, easy to maintain and go bang every time they're supposed to. Next to my wife and dogs, they're my 3 best friends.

Also, everyone should have to take a safety course before buying a pocket knife.zp4ja wrote:Something is planted somewhere TJ. Since he posted a gun he has coming a few pages ago, I assume he is joking.tjmurphy wrote:![]()

I agree, they should have guns.
I'd hate to see the cops go after bad guys with a frozen mackerel.

Re: Guns & Gun Related Stuff
Here's a couple pics of that awesome leather butt cuff that OH sent me on a different gun. It is a 1953 Ithaca 37 20 gauge.
It has an ORIGINAL factory youth/lady's stock which means it is about an inch shorter than standard.
This model 37 is my dove gun. That short stock is real handy for shots where you're sitting or twisting around on those little gray rockets. But quail or rabbits that short stock makes it shoot way to high for me, almost like a trap gun. With the cuff, it's perfect!

Wade, delighted that the butt stock cuff is working out so well - it was a last minute impulse that put it in your package (I've had it several years, but never used it). I knew it was perfect for someone, somewhere! Here is another view of my favorite waterfowling gun - a Browning Magnum Twelve Auto-5 - taken on the pier last evening. OH

Very cool Bruce! Thanks for sharing. I carry a Browning Gold Hunter myself. Can't beat a Browning of any kind.

Re: Guns & Gun Related Stuff
Nice Ken! I know next to nothing about old revolvers but is that a break open like a Schoffield?
90% of the time, I am more minimalist than that carry you posted for my slide guns. I carry right hip inside jeans, no holster. Yea, the levers sometimes grind the hip alittle depending on the gun but really doesnt bother me. I have also been known to loosen the belt if I am wearing one a couple notches and just slide the gun between my belt and jeans. Both are actually very solid ways to carry with no shift of the gun. Works for me and don't cost a dime. Gotta make sure it doesnt fall out when you go to the head though.
Is that contraption yours? Or a pic of someone else? Either way some old school ingenuity there.
Regards, Jerry
Very cool Joe! The only holsters I have are for the hip and I usually only use those for revolvers. I do have some hard poly holsters for my slide guns also. Mainly only use those when I go to the desert on the RZR. One point sling for the AR-15.FRJ wrote:Really nice posts, Colonel and Old Hunter.

No, it doesn't break open. It's an Italian made copy of a Colt 1860 Army, cap & ball revolver.zp4ja wrote:Nice Ken! I know next to nothing about old revolvers but is that a break open like a Schoffield?

Thanks Jerry. I like your approach too. I just had this idea and tried to make it work. It works, but I haven't used it much. It's something I've got to sneak up on.
