^ I agree, and the nail nick placement might be correct for them too. But, I am not sure of the overall character of the knife. I can't put my finger on it, though I am not sold on Empire, in spite of the bone being very similar. An interesting mystery.

Lyle, this was an import/wholesale company which means they sold knives, or other items, from any country/manufacturer they could buy the goods reasonably from.

Most of the knives I have seen with stamp are marked Germany, this one is not so it is possible it was made in the U.S.A. by a well known knife manufacturer for them.

Supposedly from written accounts they were in business from 1915-1920.

I did not have an example from them so I bought it for my collection
