My first CCC

The Camillus Cutlery Company was one of the oldest knife manufacturers in the United States with roots dating back to 1876. The company manufactured Camillus branded knives and was a prolific contractor for other knife brands up until its last days in 2007 when the company filed for bankruptcy.

My first CCC

Post by dkonopinski »

I have just acquired my first Camillus Classic Cartridge. It is a CCC-5 Trapper and I'm delighted with it. I have one question at this time. The paper in the box and some posts here say that CCC knives were limited editions, but how many of each were produced? Does anyone know please?

Season's greetings to all.

David, the Classic Centerfire Cartridge (CCC) series spanned seven years (1991-1997) and encompassed seven knives, CCC-1 to CCC-7. Like the Rimfire Classic 22LR series, they made one "model" per year. I think speculation is correct that the "limited" referred to one year of production instead of the number of knives made. The numbers are lost in Camillus records and your guess is as good as mine as to who would have those, if they still exist.
