Jerry, all my hardcore 1911 buddies swear that the Springfield 1911 is the best mass produced 1911 on the market. That comes from gates who EDC Ed Brown and Wilson Combat guns. It sure is a looker.

Thanks Dave! She is pretty sharp in my opinion. Icicng on the cake as a good looking gun that doesn't handle, shoot and feel right is not for me. My Glock 21 is not a pretty gun but with 13+1 capacity and 8 factory mags, fill a niche. Trench gun! This one is more elegant as far as feel and handling.

Thanks Wade! Good to know as I am a novice 1911 owner, my first one. Did some reading up on reviews/ forums like I always do before dropping substantial dollars on a gun and did not hear anything bad. All good reviews.

Wow, Monk, nice one! Great pickup! Nice piece. As for the ammo, just personally never seen it but I only bought my first .45 Glock 21 last year, so never really paid attention. More into 9mm and wheel guns prior to that. Good to know. Thaey ain't cheap I will say that.

Regards, Jerry

You fellers are sure sporting some fine lookin 1911s. Not a bad one in the bunch.

Here's a 9mm CZ Model 75BD that followed me home from a recent trip to Cabella's. It is a used gun but looked to have been well cared for. I had a Cabella's gift card courtesy of my health insurance company so I didn't have to plunk down much of my own money to make it mine.

Good looking CZ there Phil. I was in my lgs the other day, and no other customers were in there. So one of the owners just starts pulling things out of the case and we looked the GW over a while, all the time I was picking his brain about pistols. He's a bid CZ 75 fan.

I liked the feel of it a lot. I've never heard a bad word about them.

Wade that's my second CZ pistol. I bought the subcompact 2075 Rami about a year ago for concealed carry. I like it so much I thought I'd get the full size pistol as well.

Jeff if you run out of storage space, just let me know. ::drool::

Really diggin' all the 1911's. I've had a few over the years. Once had a
knock-off chambered for .30 cal carbine

After mucho molesting of firearms at a new Gander Mountain store, I decided on a
Ruger LC9s for Christmas. After more research, I bought this'un at a local shop for substantial savings $$.
First new gun for me in 15+ years. Couldn't be happier ::ds::

Please let us know how it performs once you've had a chance to put it thru the paces.

LC9S is the best new pistol Ruger has brought out in a long time! I've had the opportunity to fire one, and it is definitely on my wish list.

After 2 or 3 years of looking, I finally got one that I'm really liking. Taurus Judge Public Defender in SS, 2 1/2" barrel and chamber. Pachmayr Diamond Pro grip for much better control and fit since I have big ol' man hands. That Winchester PDX1 ammo is some bad stuff! Nearly shot the fence rail in half that was backing up my target, LOL!
