Boker Barlow restoration
This is an old Boker Barlow I had laying around for a few years. The handles were pretty blasé but I love the bolsters on these old Boker Barlows! And for steel bolsters they shined up very nicely. I added Sambar stag and polished it up inside and out. The master blade snaps like a bear trap with half stop. The pen blade was apparently the one the former owner used the most. It has decent snap but is not bear trap that the master blade is. The pen blade is down a bit but the master blade appears to be full-length although a little slimmer in the belly.
I hope you enjoy the pictures.

I can see why you like those bolsters! Beautiful work with that stag; I see that you stamp your name on the main blade, I assume that is so future owners will know that it is restored? A mighty fine knife.

I do not believe in selling a knife that can be passed of as a factory custom by some unscrupulous future owner.
I went to the expense of buying the Electro-Chem Etch system and replacing stencils frequently because I am passionate about not having my knives be misrepresented as factory knives. Besides since I am proud of my work I want people to know who did the work.

Thank you for your kind words!
