Fight'n Rooster Genuine Mother Of Pearl

Post by gmanksu »

My b-day is coming up and I have found a rooster MOP 3 blade sowbelly that I really like and trying to talk the wife into getting for me, but don't know the pricing for them. It is the bowtie pattern with Frank Buster and Son on it, not a club knife. Asking price is $140. Any input would be appreciated.

Just my opinion but you can buy a Fight'n Rooster Pearl knife with the original "Frank Buster Cutlery Co" tang stamp for less than that, some with the "Captain's Rooster" Gold blade etch. ::tu:: These knives were made pre83 or 82 and to me would present a better value. The '"& son" didn't come along until 94 or so. Great Knives either way you go. Knives in between were Frank Buster Celebrated Cutlery Co. ::nod::

That's what I thought there was one on one of the members stores in a different handle material that was less money, didn't have the MOP handles thought didn't know how much the MOP handle would add. Guess I need to get one of the collector's price guides before I advance on. Thanks again.
