Theatre knives and other such stuff.............
I've had most of these kicking around for many years. Most of them were given to me and a few were bought on e-Bay.Several of them came from a huge military collection a friend of mine purchased and sold or traded me for other stuff.Several more were a gift from my cousin who got them from his father-in-law who was a WWII veteran. He was also a professional silhouette shooter and had some incredible rifles;most of which were destroyed in a fire when lightning ignited about 15 lbs. of black powder in his cellar workshop.Blew out every window in their house and just about every other house in the neighborhood!
Anyway some I can ID and others will forever remain a mystery. The workmanship ranges from horrible(witness the knife marked RUTH 1990 with the serpent scratched into the blade)to very professional(the dagger marked LJM).The aluminum handled hunter was made by a gentleman who fought in the 1956 battle in Hungary when the Russians invaded that country. The craftsmanship is superb. So sit back and enjoy the show.

Another great batch of interesting knives, k7k. I have always liked the looks of the handles with the lexan spacers.

Thanks to all for posting these! I have an Aerial M3, but nothing that has been modified. It is odd, I think, that the collecting community has changed its priorities so dramatically over the last few decades. Time was, when the fixed blade was THE collectible, along with buffed-to-death CASE folders. Times have sure changed. My fixed blades are still some of my favorite knives, and certainly the ones which get the most use as tools.

All of those are so cool. I don't own any but don't you wish the could tell you their history? I found several carved bullets from the Civil War while metal detecting.

Re: Theatre knives and other such stuff.............
Knife World just had a great article about theater knives made by the Texas Highway dept during WW2. There were about 1000 knives from 6 different employees. They ground blades from files and made handles out of everything they could. Each one has the maker's name and Paris Texas stamped on the blade. I'd love to see some of them posted here if anybody has one.
