Deal or Steal?

Post by SFC ADP »

So according to my knife guides, this knife is books for about $35.00. I have watched a couple of these sell, and they go from $22.00 to $65.00 on E-bay. So the fact that the knife is stamped #0000, is it worth $99? or even more based on the bids?

I don't know enough about Schrades to have an opinion, although I've recently started collecting some of the Ellenville NY made knives, since there won't be any more and they'll probably become somewhat scarce.

Here's a link to a forum dedicated to Schrade knives and it's pretty active. I've gotten some really good advice there:

Good luck!

SFC ADP,

This is only my opinion...

If I needed that knife to fill out a grouping of Schrade Commeratives, and had spent time looking for it...I suppose, since it has the medallion, paperwork, and box, I might go $100...but, that is the starting bid, plus shipping. :(
I don't think one knife, even with that serial number, since it's not a set or something like that, is worth that premium. I'd make the knife about 1/2 the asking price.

Of course, others may feel differently.

I am going to have to agree El Lobo,
I have seen this knife pop a few times on E-Bay, so it is not very rare.
I can't see shelling out $100 for this knife.

Thanks for your opinion!
