#49 Queen w/a 1958-60 stamp

Traded for this #49 with an AAPK member. All 3 blades appear not to have been sharpened, a few small scratches, but not bad for an ol' gal that's between 54 and 56 years old. My EDC is a well used #49. Here's a few pictures of the "new" and the old.

I like both of them! but really like the old gal with the pocket worn scales. I have several Queen knives myself, mostly newer things. Good trade! Terry

fascinating two so similar knives - both with blades in good condition look so different. I have often wondered why some of the bone goes blonde so extremely -- sun shine? , hard to think of pocket wear if blades are not also heavily used. I am vague on the specifics of the transition from bone to Delrin occurring at this time, but it may be one of delrin's selling points was the way it would hold the dark winterbottom jigging - as well as cost...
