Case info please

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

The top knife is not a Case knife
The bottom looks just like a Case knife I had that was a fish filleting knife

I agree 100% gino. The top of the box and the knife blade has the same etch, that is confusing.
The story i got with the knife is Case had it made by another company to keep distance, but why put it in a Case box, right.
The other knife that is stamped Case XX is bigger than the pic shows,it is a full size bowie style knife but like i said it is made more like a kitchen knife.

I thought that I have seen a Case KKK knife in the past, I could be wrong but maybe they just paired it up with the box. Doesn't seem to make sense that Case would put a knife without the Case markings in one of its own boxes or use German steel but stranger things have happened. Steve would be the guy to ask, shoot him a PM he would know for sure.
The other knife is the exact shape of the one I had but on the top of the blade where yours is flat and protruding mine had small ridges for scaling fish. Looking at it in comparison to your hand the blade does look a tad longer but the shape and handle were exact (minus the ridges).

My guess is that Case had nothing to do with the KKK knife and that the knife is after-market in a display box that was also after-market. Think SMKW or some such.

I was talking to a guy who said he found a Case kkk knife in a pawn shop sale and bought it. I'll ask him to send me pics. Maybe that will help????
